We had been seeing Charlie around Sochi for several weeks, but we haven't been able to track him down until yesterday when we were told he had taken up residence at the central park.
Sochi Dogs is a trailblazing nonprofit organization committed to rescuing stray dogs through education, adoption, and spay/neuter programs.

Our radio PSA about the importance of spaying/neutering pets can be heard on three radio stations, eight times a day throughout Sochi.
We hope that little by little we can educate the local community to be part of the solution to humanely reduce the population of stray dogs. You can listen to it here

Many stray dogs take up residence at construction sites in Sochi. Workers feed them and the construction provides shelter but when the work is finished landlords call exterminators to poison or shoot the dogs.
On June 30 we were called to a construction site that is almost complete to rescue this mama and her three puppies.
