A Big Day for Our Rescues in Chongari, Georgia

It was an important day for some of our newest rescues in Chongari, Georgia. Demo, Knopa, Laila, Fifa, and Tihoni all made a trip to the vet for essential care, including parasite testing and spay surgery.

For rescue dogs, these routine veterinary visits are a very big step. Before they can move on to the next chapter of their lives, they need the basic medical care that helps keep them healthy and safe.

We’re happy to share that everyone is recovering beautifully. After all they have been through, it is wonderful to see them resting, healing, and getting the care they deserve.

Demo, Knopa, Laila, Fifa, and Tihoni are all dreaming of forever humans of their own. Each one is now a little closer to that future thanks to the love and dedication of the local team caring for them in Georgia.

We are so grateful to everyone who makes this work possible. Your support helps dogs like these get the medical care they need and the chance to move forward toward safe, loving homes.

200 Dogs, 200 Vaccines: Keeping Dnipro Shelter Safe for the 3rd Year.

For the third year in a row, we’re providing vaccines for every resident at the Dnipro Shelter in Ukraine. That’s 200 rabies and DHPPI vaccines, so all the dogs are healthier and protected from preventable diseases.

In a country at war, access to basic vet care becomes extremely difficult. Shelters are overwhelmed, resources are stretched thin, and yet the dogs keep coming. Making sure every dog at Dnipro is vaccinated means they have one less danger to face.

This work would not be possible without you. Donate and join our community of believers, dog-lovers, and do-gooders. When we come together, we can do so much.

Helping Ukraine’s Dogs Get Ready for a New Life

Vaccines and preventive care aren’t “fun,” but they’re absolutely essential.
In Dnipro, Ukraine, our partners take in many animals coming from the front lines. Before any dog can be adopted, moved to the shelter, or transferred to a rescue in western Ukraine, they must be vet-checked and vaccinated. This protects the dogs themselves, keeps other animals safe, and meets travel/adoption requirements.

That’s where Sochi Dogs steps in — thanks to our Ukraine Fund donors. Your support covers exams and core vaccinations so these dogs can move forward safely. Every shot is recorded in a pet passport that stays with the dog as they travel, creating a clear medical history for their next chapter.

This is the first and most important step toward a healthy, happy life in a loving home.

Vaccination Day

Some snaps from a recent vaccination day at the Dnipro shelter: A team of k-9 shelter residents supervised, as a vet team came out to the Dnipro shelter to vaccinate all the recently rescued dogs.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported the Toretsk rescue mission this summer!
