Hey, we need names!

These 3 little munchkins were taken from the street at the beginning of August.  They are doing very well at the shelter.  They were dewormed and got their first vaccination already. Now they need names.  Donate $20 and give a name to one of them. 100% of your donation will go toward medical expenses for these puppies.  Click here to donate and email the name you want to give to info@sochidogs.org.

Hi, My Name is Buck

Hi, my name is Buck!   Just a week ago I lived on the street and now I am at the shelter! I love everything here: people, food, dogs and my kennel.  Thanks to Frank, he did not pass by me. Frank, comes often to visit Sochi all the way from Alberta! I am actually the third homeless dog, who he has found on the street and taken to the shelter.  Thank you, Vlada, Masha and the Sochi Dogs team for coordinating my pickup, a vet visit, and taking care of me.  I am a very good dog and promise, I will be a great companion.

Be in touch, check my page, more pictures are coming! In a few months, I will be available for adoption and I would be happy to be a part of your family!

This pretty girl just joined the shelter!

This little girl is not only pretty but also she is also very lucky. She was hanging out at the local market begging for food when Vlada spotted her.  It was best things that could ever happen to her, her life has been forever changed!

First, she got her first car ride. Vlada took her to the vet, where she was evaluated and got ears cleaned.

Then she drove around with Vlada for the rest of the day, running errands and meeting new people. She was a good passenger in the car, super friendly, calm and curious.  At the end of the day, she arrived at the shelter to the new quarantine area, where she got lots of food and good rest.  Welcome to the shelter little pretty!

There is a long way and many things need to be done before this dog will be ready for adoption.   She needs to be dewormed at least 2 times, then she has to get two rounds of vaccinations and then she has to be spayed. To get everything done will take about 3 months.  Please do your part, help us with the expenses for this lucky girl and others just like her!

Renovations!

The quarantine area at the shelter is one of the most important sections, it's where gets settled right after they are brought in from the street, so it's crucial that its extra cozy.
Last weekend Vlada organized a major renovation of the space. She picked up tools and supplies and delivered every thing to the shelter. Then Misha, one of our volunteers, spent his entire weekend work on the renovations. He fixed and replaced walls, re-did the floors and the sleeping areas so now everything is nice and clean to welcome the new dogs. Of course Misha wasn't working alone, he had some Sochi dogs watching him every step of the way. After hours of work, Brittany checked out the new space and gave her bark of approval! Thank you Misha for all you do!

Brittany approved!

Look at those floors before Misha came in...

And look at them now!
