Right place. Right time. Right person. Back in January, our rescue partner Sergei spotted Sophie on the side of the road in Georgia.
Months of careful feeding, care, and lots of love later, this lucky girl is in a forever home in Pennsylvania.
If Sergei had taken a different road that day, or just turned his head the other way, he never would have seen Sophie, and she would be left all alone to starve in the woods.
Stories like Sophie’s remind us how much rescue depends on people noticing, stopping, helping, fostering, transporting, donating, and opening their homes.
