Some dogs tolerate cats. Lira actually loves them. She currently lives in a foster home with another dog and four cats, including kittens, and she does beautifully with them all. She has one cat friend she especially loves; they share a bed and even eat together. Lira is also very playful with dogs and would be happy in a home with animal companions.
Lira is a gentle girl who can be a little shy with new people and in new environments. When she feels unsure, she simply walks away. She may need a day or two to settle into a new place. Once she feels comfortable, she becomes very affectionate and loyal.
Lira is house-trained and walks well on a leash. She loves to zoom around and play with other dogs, but at home she is calm and quiet. She also loves being petted and spending time close to her people. A suburban home with a fenced yard would be the best fit for her.
