• Receives a medical exam, deworming and preventive treatments
• Gets vaccinated and spayed/neutered
• Tested for heartworm and tick-borne parasites
• Receives a rabies titer test and international travel documents
• Is loved and cared for in a shelter or foster home
• Has a crate and airline ticket purchased
• Has mandatory CDC Animal Care Facility fees paid for upon arrival

The costs add up quickly ranging in $900 - $1500 per dog! But do these happy endings make it worth it? Absolutely! The new CDC Dog Import Rules have tripled our expenses. We’ve already increased our adoption fees.
