The new CDC ban prohibits the importation of dogs from more than 100 countries for at least a year. The ban unfairly targets the lifesaving work of the Sochi Dogs Shelter.
For the past seven year the shelter was built from the ground up by hard-working volunteers and has saved the lives of countless homeless dogs. In the next month, until the ban goes into effect, Sochi Dogs will be flying and adopting out as many dogs as possible.
Once the ban is implemented, we’ll be supporting the dogs that are still at the shelter and finding new ways to continue our lifesaving work.
