What a year!

97 formerly homeless Sochi dogs found their forever families in 2019. The Sochi Dogs team and all of the dogs in these photos are so grateful to our community of volunteers, supporters, adopters who make this incredible work possible. Happy 2020, everyone!

Terra and her puppies

We have a new rescue, Terra! We found her with her four puppies. It’s clear someone kicked Terra out right after she she had her puppies. Two had already passed when we found them but the other two are doing well! So is Terra. She is such a sweet girl and is so grateful to finally be safe!

Tommy - the new rescue.

Meet Tommy - when we first came across him he was lost and confused. Someone had abandoned him on the street and having always had a family Tommy didn’t know what to do. We leashed him up and brought him to our vet for a quick exam. Immediately Tommy knew he was safe. Honestly, we’ve never seen a dog so happy to be at the vet! Tommy got a clean bill of health and soon he’ll be ready for adoption to find his true forever family.

Orie’s story

We found eight-yeard olf Buddy (fka Orie) in terrible shape on the side of a road. His fur was matted, he was just skin and bones and he could barely walk. Our rescue team wasn't sure he was going to make it but with lots of TLC at the shelter Buddy perked right up and when a former adopter asked us if we had a sweet senior dog we had to recommend Buddy. Buddy found his forever home in New Jersey this November. Now he enjoys wearing sweaters, rolling around on his back with a toy in his mouth, and cuddling up in his favorite chair. We're almost certain Buddy is cozy sitting by the fire just as you are reading this!
