Rescue Story:
Scooby was born in Mykolaiv, Ukraine, and was living a comfortable life. However, at the tender age of 7 months, his world was upended by Russia invading the region, forcing his family to flee without him. Left to fend for himself on the streets, Scooby was fortunate to be found by a Ukrainian rescue organization that took him into their care and Sochi Dogs rescue coordinated his travel to the US in search of his forever home.
Meet Scooby, a marvelous mutt who is in search of fun, moderately active humans to take him on hikes, share snacks, and play with balls.
Scooby is wonderful all around. He is housebroken, not destructive at home, and does not have separation anxiety. He walks beautifully on a leash and loves car rides, he would be a terrific companion to someone who goes on walks/hikes and explores new places on the weekend.
He is an incredibly smart and quick learner (he learned to go out the doggy door almost immediately in his foster home) and will sit for treats. Scooby is very eager to please and would enjoy going to agility classes. He is loving and affectionate and will be an extremely loyal friend.
Scooby is super playful with dogs. He will engage almost immediately with any dog that wants to play. Since he can be energetic in his play, he would be better suited to a home with older children. Scooby is moderately active, he doesn’t need hours of exercise a day in order to be calm. He loves to play with toys and if you are busy or away, he will be waiting for you patiently and entertain himself by playing with squeaky toys. What more could you want in a perfect dog!?
